Every year many big events take place in the trendy and beautiful city of Valencia. In 2016 many big events as Fallas, Semana Santa, Feria de Julio and many more will all take place in Valencia.
6 January 2016: Día de Reyes
Día de Reyes is a Catholic holiday on which The Three Wise Men come to visit Valencia. If children have been good throughout the year this is when they (in Spain) get their presents under the Christmas tree, not during Christmas. When they have been naughty, they get “carbon”. During a procession on the 5th of January that starts at 18.00, kids will get candy.
15-19 March 2016: Fallas 2016
Fallas is one of the biggest festivals in Valencia and definitely worth visiting. For more information you can have a look at the page about Fallas 2016.
20 – 27 March 2016: Semana Santa
Semana Santa is the ‘Holy week’, the week before Easter. During this week a lot of processions are held in the habour/sea district. With those processions the last week of Jesus’ life are being told, the Easter story. You can find more information about this week on the page.
April 2016: Feria de Andalucia
During this festival you will get the chance to see, taste and discover Andalucia in Valencia! Check out the program at Feria de Andalucia.
26 May 2016: Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi is celebrated at Sunday 26 May 2016. This Catholic holiday celebrates that Jesus gave himself to the people in the shape of bread and wine. This day is celebrated in Valencia by means of two processions. For more information click on Corpus Christi.
Every Thursday in June: Classical concert
Every Thursday in June there will be held free classical concerts around 8:15 pm. These concerts will take place in the Turia park next to Palau de la Música.
July 2016: Feria de Julio
This festival will be celebrated during the whole month of July. There will be concerts, tastings and fairs organized throughout the city. One of the highlights is the flower fight. For more information and the program check out Feria de Julio.
14 – 17 July 2016: FIB Benicassim

31 August 2016: Tomatina
The small village Buñol is situated just outside Valencia. This village will be totally covered with tomatoes on the last Wednesday of August. The tomato fight attracts over 1000 people from all over the world.
9 October 2016: Día de la Comunidad Valenciana
On this day the foundation of the city Valencia is celebrated. There will be processions, dance, music and fireworks. For more information check out Día de la Comunidad.
